PLANET MARK – Certified Year 7

20 July 2026

Evans Vanodine has retained Planet Mark certification for a 7th successive year, and is pleased to confirm that it has progressed onto Planet Mark’s Business Certification (Advanced) membership package for the reporting period 1st January 2025 - 31st December 2025. This means that we have expanded our measurement boundary to include more Scope 3 categories. Where previously we had only reported on three of the categories, as our journey with Planet Mark has developed, we are now also reporting the following Scope 3 categories: Category 1: Purchased goods and services, Category 3: Fuel and energy-related activities, Category 4: Upstream transportation and distribution, Category 6: Business travel, Category 7: Employee commuting, and Category 12: End of life treatment of sold products.

This represents a significant milestone in our sustainability journey. By expanding the measurement boundary to include all emission sources material to our organisation, we now have a comprehensive understanding of our full carbon footprint, capturing all Scope 1, 2, and material Scope 3 emissions. From this, we can set a net zero baseline, from which we can establish credible and ambitious near-term and long-term net zero targets as part of Planet Mark’s Net Zero Certification Programme.

Because of the expanded measurement boundary, Evans Vanodine’s total carbon footprint for the year ending 2025 is not directly comparable with the previous year as it now includes a broader range of Scope 3 emissions. Accordingly, comparisons throughout our Measurement Report are presented using data that has been normalised to exclude emissions reported for the first time, ensuring year-on-year comparisons remain consistent.

Of the emissions that we were able to measure across both years - our Scope 1 and 2 (location-based) emissions - we achieved a 7.7% carbon reduction compared to the previous reporting period. This reduction means Evans Vanodine has achieved Planet Mark Certified -Business.

Planet Mark Certified - Business Members must reduce their measured Scope 1 and 2 emissions by at least 5% every year to retain certification in line with the Planet Mark Net Zero Certification Scheme Rules. Planet Mark’s measurement methodology is fully aligned to the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, and all data is reviewed using evidence provided by Evans Vanodine. Evans Vanodine’s measured carbon footprint is validated and third party assured by Planet Mark.
