Karel Tittl, The Head of the Biosecurity Dept at Tekro in the Czech Republic, has worked with Evans Vanodine for many years and explains why they continue to use Evans as their sole supplier of cleaners and disinfectants:"Evans Vanodine is our partner family business and is the only manufacturer of biocides that we know regularly updates its microprofiles, has an innovative approach to specific chemical preparations and works to continually improve existing products and develops new ones to meet market needs. Their in-house laboratories conduct rigorous testing to ensure every product is highly effective in use and their regulatory experts ensure that they are at the forefront of legislative changes and that we are kept updated as required.
"In my opinion, Evans Vanodine products are at the very top in terms of field use, HACCP protocols, but also in terms of ease of handling."
Karel also outlines how Evans products are also used outside of their traditional agricultural customers:
"Evans cleaners and disinfectants are used in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Ukraine as part of hygiene procedures in biosafety programs for the prevention and control of infections on farms, veterinary clinics, and research institutes in the form of immersion, foam, spraying, wiping, cold and hot fogging. For example, Evans GPC8 disinfectant was used by fire brigade chemical units on farms and in slaughterhouses to decontaminate Avian Flu and other diseases by foam appliction and ultrasonic or thermal fogging.
"During the recent foot and mouth disease outbreak in Hungary, GPC8 and FAM 30 disinfectants were used at ten border crossings into the Czech Republic from Slovakia and Austria to prevent the introduction of FMD. FAM 30 was also used after an outbreak of African Swine Fever in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in infected areas to decontaminate places in the forest after the shooting of wild boars, including footwear, clothing, gloves and crates. In Ukraine, FAM 30 and GPC8 were used on pig farms to eradicate ASF."
In summary Karel and Tekro have confidence that every Evans product they use has its place on farms, in hatcheries, veterinary practices, fisheries, beekeeping, and also in decontaminating the environment after outbreaks of dangerous diseases in animals, food production, and humans. Evans products are major part of Tekro’s biosecurity protocol aimed at improving animal health and ultimately increasing efficiency and profitability for farmers and the industry.
