Last year, a team of dedicated colleagues at Evans Vanodine worked collaboratively to secure our first externally accredited EcoVadis certification, achieving 'Committed' status.Building on what we learned, we strengthened our reporting structures and applied again this year. We’re proud to announce that we have now been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal.
Environmental, social, and ethical performance – or sustainability – is an essential factor for smart businesses today, and the supply chain is the biggest lever for impact. EcoVadis is a globally trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, offering a range of sustainability solutions designed to help organizations manage, measure, and improve their sustainability performance across the entire value chain.
Their methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, covering 250+ spend categories and 185+ countries. The Sustainability Scorecard illustrates performance across 21 indicators in four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis medals are awarded to the top 35% of companies assessed by them, based on the percentile rank of a company which is calculated at the time of scorecard publication. It compares a company’s performance with all rated companies in their database over the previous 12 months. The percentile rank is calculated across all companies in all industries, rather than per industry.
Antonia Evans, Marketing Manager at Evans Vanodine, said "This is a fantastic achievement that reflects the commitment, collaboration, and hard work across multiple departments. A huge thank you to everyone involved for their dedication, and to all of Team Evans for making this success possible!"
