Community Acquired (CA) MRSA

8 January 2014

Recent articles in the 'Sun' and 'Daily Express' refer to a new "Superbug" Community Acquired (CA) MRSA.

CA MRSA is not new. Many published papers refer to infections caused by CA MRSA, from 1998 to the present day.

Evans disinfectants have been tested against Hospital Acquired (HA) MRSA and there is no reason to believe that the CA MRSA strain would be any more resistant to disinfectants than HA MRSA.
